Printing Again
Photography

After laying unused for more months than I'd like to admit, I finally put the printer to use again today. Getting the heads cleaned wasn't as bad as I'd feared it was going to be. Just printing out a few 'nozzle check' pages did most of the work but I still had to do a full cleaning to get rid of some gaps in the Magenta ink.

After that was done, I had to replace two colors. I now have three MORE colors that are under 20% so I'll have to place an order soon if I'm going to be doing much more.

I printed this at 18"x8" and will work on getting it matted and framed sometime this week. Of course, will all the frame pieces I have 'in stock', I'm missing the one 22" section I need for this print.

First Post
Everything Else

OK, so here is the first post on my new Joomla site, more to check they layout of the template than anything else.

By my count, this is the fourth iteration of the scanline.com website. My most recent business site has died a slow death of neglect over the past few years. All I'd been using it for was a place to stash links to software that I needed access to when on the road. At the same time, I found myself wanting a place to keep track of all the things I find online that I want to share with other people.

I'd like to use this new site as a place to post my newest photographs (and an incentive to TAKE more photos, so the site doesn't languish), a sandbox for Joomla 1.5 and new modules/components, and finally a place to share some of the strange, fun and useful things I sometimes find online.

Ah, such great plans. Well, lets give it a year and see if it is still being updated.
