The link below goes to a small file that, when run on your computer, allows me to take it over by 'remote control' to help you resolve problems. The program installs nothing on your computer and, once the session is ended, leaves nothing behind.
The program works for Windows machines only (sorry Mac and Linux users). I need to run the 'control' part of the program on my end before you try to connect, so please make sure I am home and expecting the connection.
Downloading with Internet Explorer: Once you click on the file and wait for it to download (just a few seconds) you will be asked a couple of security questions from Microsoft that basically make sure you are aware that you are running a program from the Internet. Answer 'Run' or 'OK' to any boxes that pop up.
Downloading with Firefox: You will probably (depending on the version of Firefox you are using and your security settings) have to select 'save as' from the download menu, then find and double-click the file in whatever folder it is saved to.
Either way, once you get the file download and running, you will see a box with the 'Scanline I.T.' logo in the right and 'Click here to connect' in the left. Double-click on the words 'Click here to connect'. In a few seconds, I'll have control of your mouse and keyboard. Sit back and enjoy the show.
If the computer needs to be rebooted, or I need you to log off and back on, you will have to run the program again to get me connected.
